The Social Security Administration has just released the list of top baby names for girls and boys for 2014, which is pulled from birth records of the previous year in the USA.
The top 2 names remain unchanged from 2013, with Noah and Liam leading the way at #1 and #2. Mason swapped with Jacob for third, while the new addition to this year’s top 10 boy names was the traditional name of James. From Hebrew origins meaning ‘supplanter’ or ‘follower’, James is an English form of Jacob. It replaced Jayden at #9.
