Through our relationship with thousands of hospitals our most popular baby names list is updated daily. And what we’re seeing so far for top boys names for 2017 is looking very similar to the most popular boys names of 2016. Noah is again in the top spot. Parents everywhere love the smoothness of the name. Like last year, Liam, Mason, Elijah, and Michael are rounding out the top five, though Elijah did sneak past Michael.

The bottom five are mixing it up a bit. Aiden, Jacob, and James are all charting pretty much as before, with a little shuffling. But Ethan and Benjamin have dropped off to make way for two “newcomers” to the top 10. Of course these new guys aren’t surprising new names – it’s Matthew and William back to the party!
