Most Popular Baby Girl Names for 2015

The Social Security Administration has released the list of top baby names for girls and boys for 2015, which is pulled from birth records of the previous year.

The top 3 names from 2014’s popular girl’s name list, Emma, Olivia and Sophia have yet again retained their spots. There have however been some slight changes, with Ava moving up to 4th, Abigail to 8th and Charlotte moving up to 9th.

The only new addition to the top 10 is Harper, more commonly used as a girls name meaning ‘harp player’, however is also a common name for boys. As a result Madison was bumped out of the list, down to 11th.
