Kahuna

Meaning

The term is used in Hawaii to refer to the “medicine man” or a “wise man.” Did you know that there are over forty Kahuna in folklore? And, over twenty of the Kahuna are just healers! Hawaiian mythology also uses Kahuna to refer to experts in any profession, for example, sorcerers, priests, ministers, etc.
